HEALTHY AND EASY ICE CREAM RECIPE

Although the summer is already over, I still enjoy eating ice cream, especially for breakfast. It doesn't sound too healthy, does it? Well, ice creams are wrongly associated with processed, unhealthy, junk foods. Whereas you can make them using only one, healthy ingredient! Maybe, some of you have already heard about nice cream (or nana ice cream). I guess it is not a surprise then, that the only one ingredient we will be using for this recipe are bananas. There are many variations of this recipe, you can add cocoa powder to make your ice creams chocolaty, or dates with maple syrup to make it caramely (and still plant-based!), berries, coconut flakes or whatever you feel like adding (be creative, you can never go wrong with nice cream!). Today, however, I would like to share with you the basic recipie, because I find these ice creams incredibly delicious by itself, so do not hesitate and make yourself a nice bowl of nice cream, you won't regret it, I promise! :)

Ingredients:
  • Frozen bananas (use as many as you like, I usually use 4)

Put your bananas into the freezer overnight (preferable for at least 8-9 hours). The next morning defrost them for 10-20 mins (depending on how good blender you have), then place them into the blender (as I've mentioned before you can add cocoa powder, berries or dates to make a different flavour) and blend until desirable consistency of ice creams! (if you don't have a good working blender, you can add some soy milk or water)

Place the ready product into the bowl and add some toppings (eg. chia seeds, berries, date chunks, chocolate chips).
And there you have your healthy, delicious ice creams, that you can enjoy for a breakfast without a feel of guilt.

Bon appetit!
